Studio Tour September 9 and 10, 2017

Our Studio Tour continues to evolve!  This year we are featured as ‘Liggy’s Notions,’ a stop for everyone who makes stuff.  We will have tools and kits for needlework, salt and pepper shakers for cooks, table and Christmas decorations, as well as tempting little things for your desk and office.    Everything is made by one of the Liggetts in our studios and woodshop.    I have some new surface design techniques for guests to try out, and lots of things that you really need to touch.  If you haven’t joined the Maker movement, come anyway and enjoy a day of madness and discovery.

More artists are joining the Front Range Studio Tour this year.  It may take both days to visit everyone!    Our Tour includes demonstrations and some hands-on opportunities that make it different from most other open studio weekends.   It is a good way to introduce teenagers to art and fine crafts, so bring them along.

Watch for the brochure with a map throughout the Tri-Lakes area in August, or go to Front Range Open Studios.com to see all of the previews.

For 2017, our activity will introduce visitors to drawing lines for quilting with water-soluble crayons.  There will be drawing and sewing to make a handmade greeting card.
